HI THERE…
My name is Antonia DeBianchi, and I’m a born and raised South Floridian. Here, nestled under palm trees and in a cozy Italian kitchen, I discovered my love of cooking and baking as I watched my mom make tasty creations as a kid. I recently graduated (!!) from Boston University where I studied Journalism, minored in English, and spent way too many nights frantically facetiming my mom for help on a marinara recipe or a chocolate cake crisis. In the midst of beat reporting classes and Virginia Woolf papers, I also learned the landscape of Boston’s food scene with friends, where I developed a love of Thai food, sushi, and visits to the Italian North End.
My past internships at companies like NBC’s the TODAY Show in New York City, and Simply You Magazine in London (where I studied abroad junior year!), have also allowed me to explore the food scene in two of the best cities in the world. Currently, while I look for journalism/communications positions, I’m freelancing for magazines I’ve previously worked for and Apartment Therapy Magazine!

In my free time, I love to read, watch TV (Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City, any rom coms!), bike ride, lay by the pool, and practice yoga. My favorite foods are rigatoni marinara, ice cream, pad thai, sushi mozzarella cheese, sauteed kale, and my grandma’s homemade pizza. Sorry about the kale for any kale haters out there!
Here at Antone Appetit, I showcase my original recipes, along with my take on my favorite chefs’ recipes. Ina Garten is my inspiration, so keep a lookout for many, many Barefoot Contessa shoutouts. I love to cook mostly healthy, simple meals and to bake mostly unhealthy, sweet treats. If you’re a pasta-lover, you came to the right place.
