Green mint chocolate chip ice cream is the only kind of mint chocolate chip ice cream anyone should ever eat. Of course, the only difference between the green and the white is the artificial dye. But for some irrational reason, I always gravitate towards a nice green bowl of chilly goodness.
This is one of my favorite ice cream flavors, so it made top billing on my list of must-make ice creams. I used this David Lebovitz recipe, which you can follow along on his site. The one ingredient I added to my mint chocolate chip was a teaspoon of peppermint abstract. The flavors were really delicious and natural with the mint leaves, but if I made it again, I’d want to try using peppermint or mint extract exclusively in order to replicate creamy ice cream shop taste.
